Plot Summary This book is about the history of illustration art. J.C Leyendecker, who was born in Germany moved to the United States with their family in 1870s. They lived in Chicago and the two brothers (Leyendecker's big bro) went to the art academy which they could create and paint the artwork whatever they wanted. J.C Leyendecker was the best painter there and later became famous in Chicago. While he was enjoying his established painter, The Saturday Evening Post Magazine company offered him a job as a Magazine cover painter.  Between 1896 and 1950, Leyendecker painted more than 400 magazine covers. During the Golden Age of American Illustration, for The Saturday Evening Post alone, J. C. Leyendecker produced 322 covers, as well as many advertisement illustrations for its interior pages. Leyendecker invented the whole idea of modern magazine design.

Critical Evaluation I give this book an 8/10 because even though I loved the paintings and explanation in the book, this book might be very boring to the people who are not interested in the art, but still it is a great book.
